All the specimens, from which a leg is removed in order to perform the DNA extraction, are preserved in anhydrous ethanol and stored at -20┬░C in the entomological collection of MIS_LEM_MS del DISAA – Universit├á degli Studi di Milano. All the samples are available for scientific purposes.
All the images of the processed specimens are available on the web site http://www.boldsystems.org
Following the morphological identification of the samples, the information of the collected samples (i.e. the State and the exact collection site, coordinates, altitude, date, collectors) are available at the page “campaigns”.
The processed specimens (from which DNA was extracted and PCRs on the mitochondrial gene coding for Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I were performed), the morphological identification and data collection (i.e. the State and the exact collection site, coordinates, altitude, date, collectors) are reported in the the page “campaigns”. The States in which samples were collected are grouped in macro areas according to UN M.49. The DNA sequences will be released after the publication of the research.
On the page “progress report” are reported taxonomic data about the progress of the project.
